Need to read the Qur'an Everyday

Holy Qur'an the book of divine revelations is also a fascinating and enlightening book. Why? It contains everlasting truths. It epitomises an interesting way of life. It shows a fascinating path to find peace, care, love, forgiveness, bliss, sharing and salvation. The Qur'an has been resting in many homes, in fancy velvet cloth bags, either on the cupboard, desk or book-rack for too long. Now let us read the Qur'an to re-awake and re-open a living, loving and learning new world. May Allah bless you as you read with understanding the Qur'an every day.
To those who may not understand the Arabic language, study the Qur'an with the meanings in the language you know eg. Urdu, English, French, etc.etc. Make a little effort to acquire it with due meaning (translation).
Then do set aside a time each day for reading the Qur'an. Mark this period as a daily appointment with the Creator in your diary or time schedule and do sincerely keep it. Before long, it will bear fruit as gradually tension and pressure will fade away and a feeling of serenity and bliss will encompass you. Many of the texts you study will remain fixed in your memory and become a source of strength and guidance.
Study the Qur'an expectantly as a guide-book to life. You shall soon find that God is speaking directly to you with a guidance that meets the deepest needs of your life.
Read with sincerity, imagination and patience. It should be a period of joy and peace, and not a chore or work to be done with, just for some baraka (blessings) in the hereafter. You cannot fool God, so try not to fool yourself.
Furthermore he affirmed. The Qur'an is full of life stories with guidance and meanings in it. When you read a symbolic story try to imagine that period or scene like Prophet Musa (Moses) A.S. confronting Pharaoh, to comprehend better.
As you progress in your daily study you will get the urge to re-read selected passages as well to seek help of commentaries on Qur'an. This will open your brain-power and hidden treasures in the Qur'an will be revealed.
Then try to record in your own individual style your impressions. What has God's message revealed to me, what does it teach me to believe, to become, to do?
Allah Ta'Ala has designated titles to al-Qur'an so as to indicate its multi-dimensional aspect, myriad purpose, usefulness and its avenue of reasoning. Such as al-Qur'an (the root word is Iqra i.e. collected, recited, explained) al-kitab (The Book), al-Burhan (rational Argument), al-Huda (the Guidance), al-Furqan (eternal Criterion of right and wrong), al-Zikr (Reminder, Remembrance), al-Hikma (full of Wisdom), Ash-Shifa (the Healing), Ahsan-ul-Hadith (Best Account of Reality), an-Nur (the Divine Illumination), al-Ruh (Ever-emitting fresh Delight), al-Hukm (the final Judgement), al-Muhaimin (the protecting Guardian) Ummal-Kitab (the Mother of all Books) beside other glorious titles. Study of the Qur'an has been likened to peeling of an onion. Study the outer layer, peel it and you will find a new layer waiting for your study. Regard Qur'an like a library, browse through it and read it with interest and thoughtfully and not just as a rote or a chore. Read with joy and positive thinking. By the Grace of Allah not only enlightenment but contentment will be experienced by you beside being in direct communication with the Creator.
