Diabetes, when diagnosed first, irrespective of age is equivalent to one heart attack. It is of grave concern and needs due care and cure. A new book titled, Diabetes Ka Safar authored by Dr Nisar Ahmad Bhat of Tral, Kashmir, was released recently at the College of Education in Srinagar. “This book in Urdu comprises all details incorporating almost all the latest information on Diabetes. It can be of great use to practitioners, under and post-graduates and the common man. Every household should have one, especially those having a diabetic patient at their home. It should form a part of every library, school, college and presented as a gift to the couple at the time of marriage,” said renowned physician of Srinagar, Dr G.Q.Allaqaband while releasing the book.
Author of the book, Dr Nisar Ahmad Bhat, also chairman of the NGO, Ikhlas Welfare Society, Tral, Kashmir and Chief Coordinator of Cancer Society of Kashmir has authored about 24 books prior to this. “ Every fifth patient visiting a consulting physician and every seventh patient visiting a family physician has diabetes. The book, Diabetes Ka Safar has 53 chapters and can be used as a ready consortium in a patient’s day to day living and practice by a clinician too,” says Dr Nisar.
