Muslims Do Not Follow the Quran!
Bangalore
Non-Observance of the Quranic Laws: This is the main reason for the Disunity among Muslims. The Muslims are not true to their religion, “Islam” (peace). They do not follow faithfully, the fundamental principle of peaceful living with mutual co-operation and respecting one another views. Due to ignorance of the Quranic laws, the Muslims have developed prejudices and misunderstandings on trivial religious matters by misinterpretation of Quranic messages; also, due to arrogance, the divergent parties have adopted a rigid, self-assertive and un-compromise attitude, resulting in disharmony and disunity. Mis-use of fabulous wealth: There are many rich Muslim countries with fabulous oil wealth. Wealth is a gift by sheer grace of Allah (swt). Wealth is to be utilized for the upliftment of the teeming millions of poor people in the under developed and the developing countries, towards their health, education and the basic necessities of life. Is it justified, “the reckless squandering of wealth” on: Foreign jaunts with a retinue of followers? Five star life style and culture; sky-high palaces - bathrooms and toilets with golden carvings studded with diamonds and precious stones - is this the Islamic way? Lack of Leadership There are 56 Muslim countries; but they are not united and are not making any effort in the light of the teaching of the Quran; to put forth earnest and concerted efforts for the just cause of the Muslims. On the contarary, many Muslim countries remain silent spectators; and quite a few join hands with tyrants Quran is a perfect Divine Code. Unfortunately, Muslims do not seek guidance from Quran, and much less follow the teachings faithfully to meet the challenges and find the solutions for their problems. |

Work Harder on Our Eeman
Nagpur
a) Disease: First of all, every Muslim present on this cosmos should go nowhere than the Quran to search, diagnose and cure problems (diseases) which come towards them. No Muslim should debate on this fact if he is a practising Muslim. The most important disease of this Ummah is going far away from the commandments of Allah. Cure: Today, we have Quran (with translations and Tafsirs), life of Muhammad (peace be upon him), life of other Prophets and Sahabas life of intellectual believers, but what we don’t have is the “YAQEEN” (EEMAN) which Allah (Swt) wanted from us. Hence we Muslims have to built strong ‘YAQEEN’ (faith) that our sustainer loves Unity and success lies only in following the commandments of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). Any other path will lead us to disaster. b) Disease: “Ana” (Ego) present in every individual, organization and community. Cure: To strive hard to remove this deadly virus from our heart, soul in fact which has spread all over our body. Disease: “Ana” is a big hurdle in the Unity of Muslims. Everyone should be given importance. c) Disease: Ignorance and laziness among so called highly intellectual Muslims. Cure: Muslims should be taken out from the shell of material gains only. d) Disease: Criticism, condemning and busy in pin-pointing the work of others. Cure: All of us should criticise and blame ourselves for whatever wrong is going on around us and the whole world, not others. |

Need a Communications Network
Nellore Dist
Muslims should achieve unity bringing together all Muslims by adopting a global network of communications exclusively to Muslims (like BBC). Mainly we have to expose the ill effects of materialistic culture, how it erodes Islamic faith and risks the global environment and which finally harms the mankind directly. We have to form ‘Think tanks’ or ‘Think Clubs’ all around the country to feed back the daily National and International affairs to selected group of Islamic Clerics. They should analyse the situation and suggest a proper solution. Like this we can bring all world Muslims face to face through electronic media to share their problems with each other. With this network, slowly Muslims can identify their common enemy (i.e.) materialistic elements. Then they can choose an able leader to confront with their enemy (culture). We have to adopt different strategies to deal with different regional conflict. |

Moral Cancer is Dividing Muslims
Mumbai
The great asset of any Muslim is his faith, simplicity, earnestness and enthusiasm. But, thanks to the prevailing curse, the Muslim masses are being robbed of their spiritual and mental strength and they are developing a moral cancer. It is only the unity of Muslims, which can stop this cancer from spreading. As the very first step in removing our “ignorance” let us read our own cultureafresh which will weed out our prejudices and will also help us to clear many misunderstandings. But more important than this is that we should strive to become “read” Muslim by understanding assimilating and putting into practice the teachings of the Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet (Pbuh) Today, most of the Muslims are not educated. Knowledge is power and we cannot progress without the right kind of education. The early Muslims produced great mathematicians, scientists, scholars etc and they excelled in all fields of knowledge besides studying and practicing Islam. As a result, the Muslims were united and strengthened in all fields. We are divided into sects. Our countries are occupied. Muslims are being killed. We try to take revenge and retaliate in anger. Is there no other way we can try to solve these problems? It is winning the struggle that is more important than revenge and only a united Ummah can confront all these issues. Actions are just through intentions. “Don’t wrong yourself or any other creature and you will be raised on the Day of Judgement in the light”. |

Let the Ulema Guide Our Youth
Chennai
Islam being the most egalitarian and convincing religion, it was most acceptable for the World. Hence, right from its inception it has attracted the ire of other religions and philosophies, which sought to perpetuate their own social and racial interests. As long as Muslim understood the real spirit of Islam and strived to live with dedication to its precepts, they were the most welcome group among the millions of the world. Thereby, Islam spread to every nook and corner of the globe and Muslims were coroneted wherever they went. That time there was no question of disunity among Muslims. But along with crown and throne came the mean mindedness of perpetuation in power and authority and alienated Muslims from the true spirit of Islam and also the downtrodden masses. The vested interests that were patiently waiting for an opportune moment took advantage of this weakening of Islamic empire and successfully shattered it into nearly sixty mutually warring countries. On the other hand, later generations of Muslims who have tasted the fruits of the hard work of their forefathers, neither learnt to live like true Muslim nor developed the skills to counteract the onslaught that has further spoiled their life style. Now it is the duty of Ulema to rise above their sectarian criteria and present before the world in general and Muslims in particular the most liberal and unifying face of Islam. May be “The unity of Allah and finality of Prophet hood” alone can form the basic unifying factor. In addition to propagating this fundamental principal forcefully, Ulemas should gracefully hand over the leadership to such Muslim youth who are well versed both in contemporary and religious matters, because they alone can understand and counteract effectively against the cunning ways adopted by the modern enemies of Islam. The need of the hour is to select and groom such youth under the benevolent guidance of our Ulemas and hand them over the responsibilities of steering our ship. |

ASAS Centre Opened
Aligarh
The office of the Academy of South Asian Studies (ASAS) was opened in the Aligarh Muslim University campus on February 22 in the presence of Dr. Abidullah Ghazi, director of the Chicago based Iqra International Educational Foundation. AMU vice chancellor Mr. Naseem Ahmed likened the ASAS with a movement while inaugurating the center. He said the Iqra and Asas were highlighting the Islamic and Muslim heritage of India. The ASAS is preparing a syllabus on various subjects in humanities such as economics, history, sociology, psychology etc for Islamic theological schools known as madrassas. It has also approached the NCERT to get this syllabus recognized for the madrassas. It has also an ambitious programme to overhaul the existing NCERT syllabus and incorporate changes from Muslim perspective. For instance, it is inducting Muslim personalities and events that are important from Muslim point of view. It is also modifying certain concepts such as the current theory of evolution which bases itself on Darwin and Mendel. The books are likely to be adopted by the Jammu and Kashmir Government for its CBSE schools. Seven such books have already been published. The work on English language syllabus on Islam was started in 1988 in Chicago and the Centre at Aligarh began working in 1991. According to Asas Aligarh director Arshad Mansoor Ghazi, the ASAS intends to prepare books on Muslim personalities in the pre- and post-independence era, Muslim contribution to freedom struggle, and contribution of Muslims in the field of art, culture, heritage, literature, films and science in India.
