What's on in Campuses
(Campus update is compiled by Maqbool Ahmed Siraj)
Islamic Voice brings to its readers this month a special update on new courses, changes, plans and innovations being introduced in some of the educational institutions run by Muslim managements in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Rapid changes are being witnessed in the education and employment scene. In keeping with the changing market needs, the Muslim colleges have come up with proposals to introduce market-savvy courses. Over the last month, we tried to reach out telephonically to a number of colleges in the three states. This is done with a view to help the community students to explore new vistas and avenues within the network of community managed institutions and bring the aspirants and the facilities together. It is not to claim that the survey is complete in itself. Our resources and contacts are limited and we expect more community institutions to voluntarily send us information on their plans and proposals.
