Elected


Doka Umarov has been named as the new leader of the Chechnya’s separatist movement. He was elected immediately after former leader Abdul-Khalim Saidulayev was killed by Russian forces. Umarov has evaded the Russian forces for over a decade, said Russian radio broadcast.

Presentation on “Victims of Gujarat, India 2002”


Dr. Malika Mistry of Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Poona, made a presentation on her research work "Victims of Gujarat, India, 2002," in the United States of America. She participated in the international conference held from 8th to 10th June, 2006, organised by the Solomon Asch Centre for the Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in which l47 scholars from all over the world participated.
