ANNOUNCEMENT FOR HAJ 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD)

1. The Haj Committee of India is pleased to announce the Programme for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD). The Haj Quota for the pilgrims going through the Haj Committee of India has been fixed as 82, 000 by the Government.

2. Haj Application Forms prescribed for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD) and the Guidelines for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD) are available with all the State Haj Committees. The same may be collected from the State Haj Committees, free of cost. If any individual or organisation is found charging money for the same, this may immediately be reported to the Chief Executive Officer, Haj Committee of India, Mumbai.

3. The Haj Application Form should be filled in strictly in accordance with the instructions on the cover page of the Haj Application Form and the Guidelines formulated for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD).

4. All the intending Pilgrims are informed that Haj Committee of India, Mumbai has no administrative relations with any person or organisation to conduct the Haj affairs, except the duly constituted State Haj Committees.

5. The Haj Application Form should be submitted through the STATE HAJ COMMITTEE OF THE STATE OF THE RESIDENCE ONLY AND THE EMBARKATION / DISEMBARKATION POINT FOR TRAVELLING TO SAUDI ARABIA AND BACK WILL ALSO BE STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SAME.

6. Each Application Form is required to be accompanied by a Bank Draft of Rs. 10,700/- drawn in favour of the concerned State Haj Committee, as payment towards : -

a. Advance Foreign Exchange - Rs. 10,000/-

b. Miscellaneous Dues :

(i) State Haj Committee’s Handling Charges - Rs. 100/-
(ii) Supporting Arrangements - Rs. 200/-
(iii) Donation for Haj Houses - Rs……..150/-
(iv) Registration Fee - Rs. 250/-

Total = Rs….10,700/-

OTHER PAYMENTS:

I. Air Fare: The amount of Air Fare would be notified separately. The Airfare shall be paid by each pilgrim through bank draft, directly to the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai before 10.09.2005.

II. Balance Foreign Exchange: Balance amount of Foreign Exchange shall also be paid by each Pilgrim through bank draft, to the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, directly. The amount will be notified subsequently.

UNDER WITHOUT EXCHANGE CATEGORY :

(i) A bank draft in Indian Rupees for the amount of Airfare (to be notified separately) + Rs. 700/- drawn in favour of Haj Committee of Indian, Mumbai, as payment towards Miscellaneous Dues.

(ii) A bank draft for Saudi Riyals 2,700/- drawn in favour of the Consulate General of India, Jeddah towards Accommodation Rentals, payable at Jeddah.

(iii) A bank draft in Saudi Riyals of the amount of the Compulsory Dues drawn in favour of Maktabul Wukula Al-Muwaheed, Jeddah.

(iv) A bank draft for Saudi Riyals 2,100/- in favour of the Pilgrim (only after selection), payable at Jeddah.

7. ACCOMMODATION :
I. Makkah Mukarramah : l The following accommodation categories have been envisaged at Makkah Mukarramah for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD).

(a) Category – I : Building Between 0 – 600 meters from outer periphery of Haram Shareif at a rent of SAR. 2,400/- per pilgrim.
(b) Category – II : Building between 601 – 850 meters from outer periphery of Haram Shareif at a rent of SAR 2,000/- per pilgrim.
(c) Category – III (A) : Building between 851 – 1000 meters from outer periphery of Haram Shareif at a rent of SAR. 1,650/- per pilgrim.
(d) Category – III (B) : Building between 1001 – 1200 meters from outer periphery of Haram

Shareif at a rent of SAR. 1,050/- per pilgrim. (The per pilgrim space entitlement has been increased by the Saudi Arabian Authorities from 3 sq. meters (3 meters x 1 meter) to 3.5 sq. meters (3.5 meters x 1 meter). l In case more applications are received than the units available in a particular category then the allotment shall be made on first come first serve basis. l Efforts shall be made to accommodate Pilgrims in Makkah Mukarramah only in the building which have access to lift on all floors. In case some buildings do not have lift going to the top floor, the Pilgrims accommodated on the top floor of such buildings will be reimbursed, on their return from Haj, as per the following rates : -

a) Category – I : SAR. 250/-
b) Category – II : SAR. 150/-
c) Category – III (A) : SAR. 100/-
d) Category – III (B) : SAR. 75/-

No refund however shall be made in respect of the two storey building hired, without lift facility.

II. Madinah Munawwarah: For Madinah Munawwarah there shall be a uniform category of accommodation at the rate of SAR. 300/- per Pilgrim.

8. All instruction contained in the Haj Application Form/Haj Guidelines for Haj 1426 (H) – 2006 (AD) are applicable.

9. Haj Application Forms, complete in all respects, should reach the Executive Officer / Secretary of the concerned State Haj Committee on or before the Closing Date i.e. 1st July, 2005, positively.

10. Computerised Haj Visa will be endorsed by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, New Delhi / Royal Consulate General of Saudi Arabia, Mumbai on the Pilgrim Passes. It is, therefore, necessary that the intending Pilgrims should attach clear, front pose photographs, taken against white background only, with the Haj Application Form.

11. No Applications shall be entertained after the expiry of last date.
