Ms. Saleha, daughter of Mohd Haji Akbar, a resident of Itiawari, Dalalpur, Dist. Nagpur has been diagnosed as a case of Multiple Myeloma. She has been referred for autologous followed by allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The facilities for this treatment are available at AIIMS. The approximate expenditure towards this treatment would be Rs. 6.5 lakhs. She is being treated by Dr. Lalit Kumar, Professor of Department of Onocology, AIIMS. Saleha hails from an economically poor and weak background and is not in a condition to bear this huge expense. The family appeals to the community, corporates and organizations to lend their support through their contributions. All contributions in the form of cheque or DD may be sent in favour of the Director, AIIMS (IRCH patient treatment account). I, MD. Asif was employed in a private transport company. Due to a serious injury in my right leg, doctors at the C.M.C Vellore conducted a surgery on the right leg and amputated a part of the leg. Now because of this, I am handicapped and bed-ridden at C.M.C, Vellore. Hailing from a poor economic background, I am in no position to meet the huge expenses for another surgery and expenses of the medicine which amount to Rs 1, 50,000.


I appeal to the community, social workers and organizations to extend their generous help which will enable me to tide over this crisis and lead an independent life after surgery. I am being treated by the team of doctors
