Moulana Syed Mohammed Rabey Hasan Nadwi, President, All India Muslim Personal Law Board inaugurated the 4th Batch of Mind Merge - an unique initiative to merge Islamic Values and Professional Identity, on January 17, 2007, at Darul Umoor - Tipu Sultan Advanced Study & Research Center, Srirangapatna, Mysore. Addressing the students, he said: “Islam had never divided education into 2 streams - worldly and religious. Islam emphasised on knowledge / education being research oriented. Europe picked up these fundamentals 300 years ago and today they are into research and hence they are successful”. Moulana Khalid Nadwi, Scholar of Hadith, Nadwatul Ulama, Prof. B. Sheikh Ali, Former Vice-chancellor Mangalore & Goa Universities, Dr. Abdul Rahman Kamruddin, Secretary General, Sheriff Foundation, Prof. Shabbir Mustafa, Principal, Darul Umoor, Moulana Haziq, Vice Principal, M.P.Ahmed Hasan, CEO, mPower Labs Pvt. Ltd and. Ameen-e-Mudassar, Director mPower Labs Pvt. Ltd, spoke on the occasion to the students. Mind Merge is a 45-day residential programme at Darul Umoor, Srirangapatna for Muslim students studying final year courses in engineering, MCA, M.Sc and fresh graduates. It aims to provide opportunity for gaining technical expertise in JAVA / J2EE , career growth (under the guidance of IT company – mPower Labs Pvt Ltd) and Islamic Empowerment in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah through practical work with the ulema students of Darul Umoor.
