Discover Yourself Workshop
Allah Almighty has bestowed men and the women with special talents, gifts and abilities. Men and women are equal partners. The Discover Yourself Workshop by A.W. Sadathullah Khan has been held in many countries across the globe and the participants included men and women. They all have experienced path-breaking changes in their lives for the better, after the Workshop.
The 3-Day Discover Yourself Workshop exclusively for Men was held in Bangalore on November 11, 12, and 13th, 2006 at BIFT Auditorium. In our stereotype Indian society, it is assumed that a man should not express his feelings, emotions, joys and sorrows. Breaking this stereotype tradition, the Workshop opened up the hearts and minds of the Men who participated, and for once they felt free to “speak out their hearts!”

HASIM: Yes! This workshop is fantastic. It has opened up my eyes and it has given me a chance to come to terms with reality. On the first day itself, I recognised myself. The biggest enemy was identified and separated. For the first time, I was able to listen. I was a pessimist person for a long time. My life was so dull, disappointing and hopeless. No enthusiasm to improve my life. I felt, I am changed person now. I am going to stay committed till death, Inshallah.
DR. KHAN: Wonderful experience! Quite rewarding! It has given an entirely different orientation towards looking at people. It induces one to bring drastic behavioural changes in interacting with people. It helped to look at one’s blind spots. Self-introspection results in self-purification and annihilating one’s ego. One immediate result was, letting go of the past hurts.
WAJID: I have benefited greatly from the very first session. It has helped in removing the cobwebs of ego, impatience, intolerance and irritation. I have sincerely started implementing all that I have learnt and am sharing the same with my family, friends and loved one’s. Excellent way of relating to Qur’an and hadith. ANWER: This workshop is a capsule containing the distilled wisdom of the sages from the ages. After attending many workshops held all over the country by others since 20 years, I can say that no one gave me all this in a single workshop. Lot of new things were presented in an original style by a man, competent, sincere and who has put it already into practice. I recommend this to every one irrespective of age, religion and race.
ALLAM: First time in my life (age 61 years) I realised the importance of listening. To be frank, I was always talking and my listening was very less.. Now I feel happy and relaxed to find what a gift listening is. I have forgiven all who have done wrong to me and I am in peace with it. The workshop should reach as many people as possible so that maximum people get benefited out it. Particularly our mothers and sisters. Thank you Khan saab, May Allah bless you!
MOULANA SULAIMAN: I had never participated in any such workshop. To be honest, I did not have a good opinion regarding the workshop, but the moment I participated, this workshop I realised that this workshop must be conducted regularly not only among the educated modern people, it should also be conducted for the Ulema who are the leaders and guides of our Ummah. The efforts of this workshop are to make the people righteous and pious. In the past, the Ulema and the Shaikhs used to do such works, but now Sufis have died and are buried in the graves; therefore, there is a need to revive it again. This workshop is an effort to make the human being pure, good and pious. Being an Alim, Alhamdulillah, I knew many things of deen, but what the workshop has given me is an impetus to act upon all the commandments of Allah. Before attending the workshop I only knew the theories and did not dare to act, but here I learnt how to act upon all the commandments. I used to be angry and after the workshop I gave up this habit. In short, I evaluated myself and decided to bring in many changes in my life. This workshop is useful and it should be held regularly.
ASGAR: Frankly speaking, I had no intention of attending 3 days. Just wanted to attend few hours on the first day only. I was surprised to see and be part of this great workshop due to the contents and the dedication of Khan saab, I decided to continue the second day. But the workshop attracted me to attend the third day also. It is because of the benefits that I got in short time. I had some missing pieces to carry forward and I got all the answers. This workshop definitely benefited me. Excellent workshop and I will recommend it to all my friends and relatives.
TARIQ: Before coming to this workshop, I used to get angry with my wife. Now I am sharing love with her. The knowledge you imparted to me for which I cannot forget you and I thank you very much. Out of all topics the most interesting topic was forgiveness and I shall adopt forgiveness in my life till death.
AHMED: Before this workshop, I was fighting with my wife. Just after attending the first day of this workshop I have forgiven her. I listened to her patiently and I was very cool, pleased, alive talking to her on telephone, which helped me to gain her confidence. I learnt Islam, which is very liberal and not the one preached by the jamats. This workshop is unique and very very useful for the Muslim community and it is the need of the day.
TANVEER: I can only say that I have bathed my soul and I feel pretty clean from deep within.
MOULANA RUHULLA: This workshop was beneficial and useful. The topics were good and the way of presentation was excellent. In this age of materialism presenting Islam in a modern and scientific way was badly needed. Alhamdulillah, now this is being fulfilled by your organization. You are holding this workshop to the modern educated people, but my request is also to hold this workshop in Madrasas particularly in Nadva, Darul uloom, Deoband, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia, Osmania University, Hyderabad, The students will greatly benefit. This type of workshop should be supported and held in all the cities.
