Meaning of a CAREER.
By Ameen-e-Mudassar
Alhamdulillah, with this issue begins a series of articles on Career opportunities. We request the readers to give us a feedback.

The path chosen by a person to complete his Life before Death & prepare for his Life after Death. It’s simply “ The Way of Life” we opt to be successful & be good in this world and here after. Do we realize it !!.

Why should a student select a Career ?
1. We have been created unique by Allah t’aala. We are born only once. We put in almost 40 years ( about 80,000 hrs ) of our life before we retire for the Aaqirath. Ask yourself “ How should I spend these 80,000 hrs before I die ? “

2. Today there are more than 15,000 careers to select. Increasing population & competition gives a clear message that “ It’s the survival of the fittest”. Right selection is the key to attain excellence.

3. Many people make a wrong career choice due to ignorance, negligence & stupidity only to realize at the end of their life that they “ wasted their entire life”. Ask Yourself “ Will I be one among such people ?”

A few simple steps to select a Career.

Know the careers : Spare your time to gather Information about various careers. Make a good list.

Have a Nice Day Mom!
By Sheefa Sayeda
Youngsters need to spend more time with their mothers and make them happy!

Out of our busy schedules, how many of us take time out to spend with our mom everyday? How many of us call her from work, just to find out if she is fine?

As an infant, as a child, a teenager or adult, she has stood beside us, supported us and encouraged with the right advice. She accepts, appreciates and adjusts with our flaws. She might lose her temper, get angry or chide us, yet she loves us and cares for us.

She gives unconditional love to all her children. When someone makes so much effort to make us happy, the least we can do is to make them happy in return. There are so many things we can do to make our mother happy, but we need to find the time and make the effort to do it. It is not materialistic and worldy pleasures that she aspires from her children, but
simple things like:

* A thoughtful action, followed by a call, ensuring she is fine at home.
* Call her and inform her if you are going to be late to get back home.
* Send her flowers with a card thanking her for being your super-mom
* Smile at her from every possible angle.
* Spend as much time as you can with her.
* Listen and empathise-it makes a difference to her.
* She never speaks ill about us, so never do about her.
* Don’t ignore her because she never did that with us.
* Support and comfort her when she needs a shoulder to cry on
* Shop for her or with her.
* Never argue, even when if she is wrong.
* Make her feel special and tell her how much you love her.
