Banana as a Tonic-Food


If one looks at the food value of a medium sized banana and compare its food-value with other staple foods, we will realise that how wonderfully God has packed the energy in such a readily available fruit like this. It is a pre-cooked fruit-food which undergoes easy digestion and releases the same energy as one gets by eating three big apples, or one and a half fresh egg, or 150 g. of mutton, or drinking 400 g. of pure cow’s milk. It supplies more Vitamin A, than one gets from ¾ kg. of mutton. Therefore, banana can be safely given as a tonic food to all healthy persons without any fear. Infants can also be fed with banana-meal mashed in honey and milk. It helps in normal growth and protects them from infections. Eating bananas with figs, dates, honey and milk everyday is nature’s one of the best tonic-foods to supply proper energy and nourishment to the worn-out cells of the body.


Medicine for Constipation

Taking a banana with a glassful of milk every night is a medicine for constipation, bleeding piles and insomnia. Developing a habit of taking this every night helps one to be healthy and strong.


Banana Face Pack

Apply pulp of a ripe banana with a teaspoonful of fresh rose-flower juice over the face daily once in the night and allow it to remain over the face for an hour. Later wash it with warm water. Continuing it every night will increase the softness of the face, prevents it from pimples, blackheads and dryness.
