LEAD Trust, Bangalore, announces the date for the LEAD Talent Search Examination (LTSE) 2012. The Entrance test for students will be held in nearly 60 cities on the following dates - Sunday, 1st April 2012 (Kerala) ; Sunday, 22nd April 2012 (Karnataka, Maharashtra & Gujarat) and Tuesday, 24th April 2012 (Tamil Nadu).

Who can apply ?
The exam is open for all students who will be completing 10th std in 2012. They must have secured overall at least 70% and 80% or equivalent grade in Mathematics and Science in their 9th standard.

Duration of Exam : 3 hours

Syllabus : The topics will be from their X Std syllabus or General Knowledge.
a. For Engineering & Pure Sciences (coaching for IIT-JEE, AIEEE or CET) : Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
b. Medicine (coaching for NEET): Physics, Chemistry and Biology
c. Law (coaching for CLAT): English, General Knowledge, Basic legal aptitude, Essay
Note : A student will have to give the entrance for any one stream only. This has to be selected by the student while filling the application form.

The Bangalore 5th Estate is a Bangalore-based civil society group that actively works to promote ethically desirable trends in contemporary media practice. As part of this critical initiative, the Bangalore 5th Estate seeks to encourage, groom, direct and place young, committed, talent within established Media centres. As a step in this direction, the Bangalore 5th Estate is now calling for applications to a scholarship programme from students seriously interested in Journalism as a career and who fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria:
Finishing 10th standard in 2012
A minimum score of 60% in 9th standard

Applicants meeting these eligibility criteria will have to go through an entrance test in Bangalore on 22-04-2012.

Based on the results of the test, students will be called for an interview to determine their eligibility for merit-cum-means scholarship (up to100%) for two years of PUC at selected colleges. This will be accompanied by expert coaching by media professionals for national level Journalism and Mass Communication entrance examinations like the one at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Delhi.
